Connecting Pollok: Past, Present & Future

Connecting Pollok: Past, Present & Future brings together the stories of an intergenerational cohort of community members of the Greater Pollok area. The book explores the history of activism in the community and fond memories of Pollok’s past, people and places.

I was commissioned to create a 72-page A5 book design, with illustrations to highlight the stories. The illustrations were drawn digitally, working with different textures to keep a sense of warmth and human touch. The simple colour palette and single colour illustrations keep the book cohesive, providing a platform for the community’s stories to shine.
